Dr. Bryan P. Lowry - Clinic Director

Graduating early from Life Chiropractic College at the age of 24, Dr. Lowry established his first practice in 1989. He quickly expanded into three practices training other doctors to care for patients with his unique patient management, addressing the chemical, physical and emotional stressors that cause dysfunction of the spine and nervous system.

Dr. Lowry has been featured on radio and television. He has been a guest lecturer at local businesses, churches and schools. Dr. Lowry has also presented to interns at the Medical College of Virginia on the coordination of care between medical and chiropractic physicians. This lecture was telecast to numerous doctors throughout Virginia Commonwealth University to foster better interdisciplinary understanding.

Dr. Lowry is married with four children and has a keen interest in the health of the pediatric spine. The age of his patients has ranged from newborns to 95 years old. Recognizing the benefit of rehabilitating the spine by combining spinal manipulation with therapeutic exercises, his progressive practice now has a physical therapy department along with chiropractic so that outcomes are optimized.

Many area healthcare providers, including medical doctors, midwives, nutritionists and acupuncturists both refer to and receive care from our office. Dr. Lowry has been in private practice for over 15 years, helping thousands of people

Dr. Roodman recognizes the effectiveness of rehabilitative exercise combined with chiropractic. His progressive practice now includes a physical therapy department along with chiropractic under one roof, so that outcome is optimized. Over 100 medical doctors (including family practitioners, orthopedic doctors, neurologists, internists, and even the past Chief of Surgery from one of the biggest area hospitals) refer their patients to Dr. Roodman for problems like yours. Some of these doctors have even been patients themselves at our office. He has been in private practice for over 15 years, helping thousands of people.

Dr. Marissa Leppek, ChiropractorMarissa_Leppek.JPG

Dr. Marissa Leppek graduated in the top of her class at Palmer College of Chiropractic. While in school she was class president and anatomy lab assistant.  She was also a chiropractic teaching assistant where she gained knowledge of treating pediatric and pregnant patients, one of her passions.  While on a mission trip to Bequia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines Dr. Leppek was able to give her services to the less fortunate, an invaluable experience.

Prior to joining the team at the Advanced Wellness Centre, she worked in St Louis and honed her skills and knowledge in Sacro Occipital Technique which utilizes a systemic and systematic approach to remove neurological, structural, and functional interferences thereby restoring the innate healing capacity.   She also helped to facilitate the 5th Annual Urban Health Fair in St. Louis; a health fair designed to raise awareness and educate the community about the benefits of holistic medicine.  Dr. Leppek is also trained in various other techniques including extremity adjusting, Activator, COX Flexion Distraction, Diversified, Gonstead, and Thompson Drop.  She carefully chooses the appropriate technique most suitable for each patient with a unique sensitivity to the individual.

Prior to attending Chiropractic College she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University in Clinical Laboratory Science. She worked as a Medical Technologist for several years at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI. This experience and education gave her an extensive background in correlating laboratory results with pathological diseases.

Dr. Leppek is thrilled to be a part of the Advanced Wellness Centre. She looks forward to furthering her knowledge and working with women’s health issues and children. She is an excellent communicator and is eager to listen to her patients and address their health issues.  In her free time she loves to be with her family and pet beagle, dance, cook, travel, and explore the beautiful city of Richmond.
